Quilt Drawing: “Opportunity Quilt”

You have an opportunity to win a beautiful quilt made by the Saint John’s Quilt Group. This year’s quilt is based on a Civil War era pattern. Reproduction fabrics from the 1800’s were used. The quilt was machine-quilted by a renowned local quilt artist. Proceeds from tickets purchased for the drawing are donated to our parish Benevolence Fund. The Benevolence Fund provides our priest with cash to help those in need of emergency assistance.

Orthodox Information Table

A table will be furnished with pamphlets addressing common questions about Greek Orthodox religious beliefs and practices. These pamphlets are provided free of charge.

Liturgical Arts Room

Step inside this quiet room to view some of the mystical aspects of Orthodox liturgical worship. Get a closer look at the beautiful vestments worn by priests, deacons, and altar boys. A model of a home altar will be on display with hand-written icons. Four local iconography students will provide iconography writing demonstrations throughout the Glendi. In addition, several outstanding books on iconography and a video of a master iconographer will be on display.

Logos Bookstore

Books, icons, assorted pastries and more will be available for purchase at Logos Bookstore.
